In order to promote a healthy environment for each child in care, we planned our health care policies & procedures.
Too ill to attend
If a child cannot participate in daily activities due to illness, they should stay home until the symptoms have disappeared. These symptoms may include:
- Fever ( 100 degrees F/38.3 degrees C more)
- Runny nose and eyes, coughing and sore throat
- Unexplained Diarrhea
- Discharge from eyes or ears
- vomiting
- rashes
– Parents will be notified as soon as their child is determined ill.
– The child must remain at home if diagnosed with any contagious disease such as chicken pox, measles, mumps, rubiola, gastroenteritis, impetigo or conjunctivitis.
– The child may return to the Kiddie College with a doctor`s note confirms that the child is no longer contagious and is ready to return to a group setting.
Medication
Prescribed and non- prescribed medicine may only be administered by the caregiver if the appropriate permission form is completed and signed. All medication must be given to the caregiver upon arrival. Medication will be stored out of reach of children.
Immunizations
Written record of each child’s immunizations must be on file. Children’s immunizations should be kept up to date.
Allergy
It is the parent’s responsibility to inform teacher of their child allergy. You must fill the allergy form and check all symptoms your child has experienced.
